FINISHED Cowraffe Figurine!

Friday, December 11th, 2009

Sorry about the multiple blog posts today! I just couldnt wait to show you the finished product! :D

Some bits of this little guy were so hard to paint! Especially his little bunny plushie! Its so tiny! Not only that but because he is holding it… its very hard to get all of it painted without painting his arm too! I had to have two brushes on the go for each colour because it was so delicate! I hope you can see his little light blue patches!

His hat is special ;) I’m not sure if you can see it properly in the picture… but you know those hats that have glittery fur? Well… thats what he has on his night time hat! :D Even the bobble! It is covered in clear glitter to add to the magic!

His little eye was another thing which needed a teeny weeny brush and a very steady hand! I hope it looks somewhat like his painting!

Here come all the angle photos!

And a little peek at my colour palette!

He was really fun to make! I kind of had super blurry vision after awhile… but thankfully its back now :D I think it was from focussing on such a little object!

Oh yeah!… He is about 2.5″ tall :D

I think I might sell him maybe? I was thinking of adding a little print of his painted version and a button for his lucky buyer! :D He is one of a kind remember! Hand crafted and Hand painted :D I will keep you updated!

Cowraffe Figurine WIP Step 2

Friday, December 11th, 2009

Another little update from meeee :D

I started painting little cowraffe! Yesterday when I was baking it… It went in and out of the oven every 5 mins! The pack for the Fimo said it needed to be 110 degrees for 30 mins but my oven works in gas marks! That meant that it was 1/4 gas mark! Now… the lowest it can go is 1 so I had to keep a close eye to make sure it didnt burn!

I’m pretty sure it got a suntan in the process though :D

So here is what I have right now… as you can see, I still have quite a bit to do but some is better than none eh?!

Cowraffe Figurine WIP Step 1

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

Hello there! I just wanted to give you guys a little sneak peek of my current project!

I’m doing a little figurine of my Cowraffe character! Do you remember this little guy?

The Power Of Dreams

Well… here is the first step! Currently, he looks very pale! I need to put him in the oven and then hand paint him :D A lot more details will be added on that step! Then… I might think about possibly adding a little glitter? But I’m not sure about that one yet. We will see :D

Okay… so lots and lots of pictures coming now (You’ve been warned :D )

I tried to take all the angles so you can see everything!

Heres a close up too…

And how cool does this look?!

artprintpreview

Its the beechwood version of the Fine Art Prints on my DeviantArt Prints Shop.

I don’t usually like them as much as this one! The only bad thing is that they sell them so expensive :( I wish I could produce my own ones and sell them ALOT cheaper! But… I have no idea how :( Oh and shipping would most likely suck too! Rawr.

Apart from that… Have super holidays everyone! Ill put this one in my etsy shop later today. :)
